German Magazin uses Warez!



This is just crazy:

The latest edition of the german "keyboards" magazin gives a special inside look: the picture shows warezed software which was used by the editorial staff.

Busted! Thats really embarrassing.

Thats what the editor-in-chief says:

In der Tat ist das sehr, sehr peinlich. Der Screenshot von Ohmboyz - ein Ohmforce-Plugin (Vertrieb: M3C Berlin, www.m3c.de) das wir alle sehr schätzen - fehlte bei der Heftproduktion und wurde von der Bildredaktion aus dem Internet gefischt. Der kleine Hinweis auf das Crack-Team ist dann beim Korrekturlesen einfach übersehen worden - wir bitten um Entschuldigung.

  • Here is my try on translating the comment:

    "That is indeed very, very embarrassing. The screenshot of Ohmboyz - an Ohmforce-Plugin (Distribution: M3C Berlin, www.m3c.de) that we all esteem - was missing during production and was taken off the internet by the picture editors. The little note about the crackers was then simply overlooked by during proofreading. We apologise."

    Anyone reading this should also consider that editors normally get items for testing purposes from the distributor or manufacturer anyway and are in no need to use warez.

    Nevertheless it's funny... :-).

  • Thanks for the translation.

    However, i don't believe this. Try to do a google or yahoo (or anything) image search on the plug-in, and find the screnshot with this very label ('TeamARCTIC'). I couldn't myself.

    Usually journalists are sent a press release which comprise all the screenshots they need in it.

    The sad truth is that 99% of people use cracks (i know working myself in this field), and this won't help educating people.

  • dont believe the statement of the magazine! im from germany and have read the magazine with the screenshot - its NOT A PICTURE FROM THE NET!!

    the plugin and the sequencer software have BOOTH THE SAME BPM!
